I don't post my own work too often but I enjoy when I can work on my own stuff once in a while. This one was a last minute photo session and it just so happened to be one of the warmer days we had in December. It was also the FOGGIEST day we've probably had all year. I LOVE FOG! It is awesome to shoot in and I was so excited to get to do their photos in it. If you have never shot in fog take advantage of it next time. Experiment with shooting for the background and then shooting for your subject. It will give you two different effects and also will challenge your thinking through the process to get a good photo. Fog reflects light so you have to be careful with what you use or it will blow your subjects out.
The mood of a photo can quickly change just by making your subject close their eyes or open them. It can make any photo more personal.
Always change your angle or point of view. I cute photo of these girls was made a little better by getting closer.
Using the fog of the day and the christmas lights in the background I closed my lens down so it focused tight on them and blurred out the background giving the glow effect behind them drawing you to them and not the lights.
I love taking nature shots and these trees and fog just spoke to me. I hope you enjoyed these. I love my Jakymiw family.
